Most electronic music loverz probably know about these guys already but their African infused house music is totally new to me. Fascinated by their interesting choice of tracks in the mix below (cause those tracks come in really hard) I started to do some digging…and I have this funny feeling that we really should keep an eye on these guys.
Buraka Som Sistema was founded in 2006 by João Barbosa (Li’l John), Rui Pité (DJ Riot), Andro Carvalho (Conductor) and Kalaf Ângelo. They took their name, Buraka, from the freguesia of Buraca in the city of Amadora, part of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. Som Sistema means Sound System in Portuguese. Their first album The Black Diamond was released in 2008 chock full of the African techno beats that make their signature sound and everything after that is practically history. Since I can’t write anything different from what has been written before you’ll find some links below to do some digging of your own … cause you’ll want to after your done streaming this afrolectic mix.

DOWNLOAD: DJ TRIZZY-DEEP FUNKY SOUL VOL.3 -MIXTAPE
Okay …Noggy here … presenting a mix that will rank very very high on the booty shaking scale. Usually when the tracklist is missing … I move on …like very swiftly. This time however even the fact that I was unfamiliar with DJ Trizzy didn’t stop me from sampling this mixtape and just the name … “Deep Funky Soul Vol.3 “ sounded tasty enough to take a small bite.
Of course I had a little incentive because the following description was offered: Here is the 3rd instalment of Deep Funky Soul, the most accurate attempt to seamlessly combine UK House, UK Funky, Deep & Soulful House. Click play to hear music from Deep Teknologi, The Layabouts, Lil Silva, Marlon D, Roska, Dakar, Donaeo, Doug Willis, LR Groove just to name a few…
I don’t know about you but being familiar with just a few of these names was good enough for me. So I suggest you just press play and stream the mix below and I assure you … you will press download in no time. A word of warning before you start though … make sure your well rested because there is going to be some heavy shaking involved!!!
If you are wondering what you are going to be booty shaking to besides Shy FX “Raver” … it’s probably the other clubbanger with a definite 90′s flavah for obvious reasons.
Jahmanji’s “Back to the 90′s” is one of the 14 tracks featured on his debut album called “Jammer”. At this point I can’t give you the downlow on all the other tracks but this one most definitely gets the juices flowing.
Dammnn man … trying to keep you up to speed on whats hot in the UK underground dance scene … proves to be harder than I thought. Cause their underground scene tends to be really underground. But every now and then something really cool pops up and of course I’m on it.
The abovementioned applies to the track “Fool” by Yo Video. The identity of the Yo Video members remains under wraps so there is not much I can tell you about them and they like to keep that way (probably an underground thing). The only thing that I found out by visiting the Myspace page is that these guys/girls have the ability to take random poppy alternative sounding tracks and turn them into clubby headnodders. I was truly impressed by the sound of Ellie Gouldings guns and horses after Yo Video reworked it.
“Fool” however is completely theirs and I love the slightly poppy edge laced with a lot of grime. Anyways see what you think ….
Naturally a track with a sound like this one … is just begging to be remixed and of course we have the most slamming one available for you. You can stream and download the Sleeping Giants remix below…
To download press the arrow on the right side of the soundcloud music wave (you know…the small one underneath the info button) after that this mix will download itself straight to your computer!!

Don’t have a lot of info on Lingo Scott yet …. but for now this track with the weirdest “ish” ever is more than enough. It’s kinda cool, dark and twisted and although it sounds like something you might have heard before … you just know is a really fresh tune.
